The power of partnership: Nephrologists choose to partner with U.S. Renal Care

More than 80% of U.S. Renal Care centers are joint ventures with physician partners. Led by industry veterans, U.S. Renal Care offers entrepreneurial physicians customized partnership structures through joint ventures and medical directorships that enable the highest quality patient care.

We provide resources, technology, and analytics that enable nephrologists to make informed decisions and manage their patients’ complex conditions. As of 2023, U.S. Renal Care has the best performance in the Quality Incentive Program (QIP) in our industry.

True Partnership

We believe nephrologists are core to effectively managing kidney disease. Physicians are active partners with clinical control and a strong voice in how their center is managed.

Industry Expertise

Our leadership team of industry veterans and practicing nephrologists have a decades-long, proven track record of sustained success and strong partnerships with physicians and payors.

Our accessible Medical Office and operators provide frequent and easy-to-understand reporting on center financial performance.

Our partnerships are designed to best meet the needs of the nephrologist and their community. We help physicians expand their impact to care for more patients while managing costs.

Research & Innovation

Our partners have access to the latest in kidney health innovation and research trials through U.S. Renal Care’s Kidney Research team.

USRC helped us analyze patient data to propose and develop a plan for three small centers that would be convenient for patients and allow us to create a culture of collaboration among physicians, staff, and those we cared for. While USRC is an incredible resource, we’re given the autonomy to make the best decisions for our clinics and our patients. USRC wholeheartedly embraces the philosophy that alignment with doctors ultimately creates a more sustainable business model, leads to better clinical outcomes, and a friendlier patient experience.

Dr. Kristin A. Matteson, Partner of U.S. Renal Care since 2009

Value-Based Care

U.S. Renal Care is driving the future of kidney care through early identification of patients with kidney disease. In 2021, we launched Kidneylink, a partnership with 600+ nephrologists to treat kidney disease earlier, slow the progression of kidney disease, and delay or prevent the need for dialysis.

Today, Kidneylink cares for more than 16,000 people living with kidney disease. To learn more about Kidneylink, visit

Our physician practice management services allow physicians to focus on what they do best – care for patients.

Hospital Services

U.S. Renal Care understands the challenges facing hospitals operating acute dialysis programs. We work alongside contracted hospital partners to develop an individualized structure and process that best suits the needs of the physician and their patients. U.S. Renal Care offers acute dialysis treatment options including hemodialysis, apheresis, peritoneal dialysis, and continuous renal replacement therapy. A local coordinator is assigned to each hospital to ensure specific dialysis needs are met quickly and efficiently.

Medical Staff Credentialing

Credentialing for Privileges is required for nephrologists and associated advance practice providers (APPs) caring for patients at U.S. Renal Care centers. To begin the process, submit a Request for Credentialing Application. There is an option for Expedited Processing found on the Request for Credentialing application form. Email with any questions.
