To the Editor: Twenty six million Americans are currently living with kidney disease. Most just don’t know it yet. Kidney disease is a silent threat – that is, most symptoms don’t appear until nearly all kidney function is lost.
As a person with kidney disease I am grateful to have access to lifesaving dialysis care back in the community of Villa Park. Because kidney disease is such a constant presence in the lives of patients, the location and setting of our treatments can really make a difference.

Committing to this priority requires that our community has ample access to quality health care. Therefore, it is my pleasure to welcome back much-needed dialysis care to Villa Park.
