U.S. Renal Care Forms Joint Venture with Eumana Home Dialysis — Expands Platform Into Regional Markets

DALLAS, TEXAS — U.S. Renal Care Inc. (USRC), a leading provider of outpatient kidney dialysis services, has formed a strategic joint venture with Eumana Home Dialysis Inc. (Eumana), and USRC has acquired a majority interest in the assets of an existing home dialysis program that serves the needs of home dialysis patients in and around Houston. Eumana provides home hemodialysis, acute hemodialysis, and peritoneal dialysis in patient’s homes and in the hospital.
“I am excited to form this joint venture with U.S. Renal Care in providing state-of-the-art home dialysis treatment for patients whose circumstances allow for home therapy,” said S. Noor Rahman, M.D., FACP, FASN, Board Certified in Nephrology. “We look forward to a partnership that allows us to expand and serve these patients in their home environment.”
“Our focus is to treat patients with the latest and highest quality treatment options available,” said Chau Vu, M.D., Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. “The relationship with U.S. Renal Care will allow us to further our mission and provide convenient, quality care to more patients at home.” Both Dr. Rahman and Dr. Vu represent the physician group who is partnering with U.S. Renal Care in this transaction.
U.S. Renal Care plans to expand Eumana’s unique service offering of home dialysis in other markets where it already operates. By adding these services in other markets, U.S. Renal Care will be able to provide all dialysis options and satisfy patient choices in the rapidly growing home dialysis market segment.
